Next Steps

So here is what we are asking of you.  We are asking you to seek the heart of God in worship, Bible study and prayer.  We are asking you to seek a revival of enthusiasm for the kingdom of God and His church at 22nd and Iron.

You know the needs, and you’ve seen the possibilities. The question is this: How are you being called to help us get from here to there? Wait! Don’t answer that yet! Building Bridges is a big deal . . . and just as with any big-deal decision, it’s good to spend a little time on it.

Think about it. Pray about it. Read about it. Talk about it.

Please reflect deeply on the generosity and faithfulness of God.  As you seek God, ask Him what He would have you commit to the Building Bridges fund over the next two years.

As you’re walking this journey with us, lets stop and think about “generosity” for minute. We tend to think about generosity in terms of what we’re giving to--like our alma mater’s alumni campaign or our favorite charity or church. What would happen, though, if we changed our perspective?

What if instead of thinking about GIVING TO, we start thinking about GIVING FROM . . . gratefulness, obedience, compassion, joy, commitment? What difference might that make?

Commitments made to the Building Bridges fund will be ALL IN.  The financial commitments you make for the next two years will combine three areas:

1. The ministry plan, Building Up
2. The Faith Mission Offering and other mission causes, Bridging Across
3. The sanctuary renovation and other building needs, Bridging Out. 

In this next season, you’re going to hear the phrase ALL IN often.  In fact, it might very well become a defining characteristic of First Baptist Church of North Kansas City.

Our ministry budgets are now ALL IN one fund.

Building Bridges will require us to be ALL IN on a personal level. Each of us needs to be fully committed and surrendered to God.

Finally, we’ll need 100% participation in Building Bridges. Our entire church family will need to go ALL IN.

• Attend worship. Every week!
• Get in a small group, or participate in the Wednesday evening group.
• Use the prayer/devotional guide in this brochure for your personal study.
• Pray about your involvement in Building Bridges and how God may be calling you to increase your generosity.
• Ask questions by turning in an “I Have A Question” card during one of the services or to the Church office.
• Complete the Estimate of Giving Worksheet.
