2. WHAT IS CONTAINED IN THE BUILDING BRIDGES FUND?

3. WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR THE CAMPAIGN?

There will be opportunities to join in gatherings, fellowship, Bible study and prayer in the next few weeks.  All activities will culminate on Celebration Sunday April 3rd when we will turn in our 2 year “Estimate of Giving Cards”.  April 17th is First Fruits Sunday, the official beginning of giving to our Building Bridges commitments (the date that we start giving to fulfill our pledges).  The giving season will end on April 21, 2013.

4. HOW WILL THE SANCTUARY RENOVATION HAVE AN IMPACT ON MINISTRY?

The kingdom of God will benefit most as our renovated space supports renewed worship leading to increased attendance, baptisms and life transformation.

The following principles have driven the sanctuary renovation:

  • Enhance the experience of transcendence
  • Encourage participatory worship
  • Emphasize worship as a community endeavor
  • Increase the size and quality of welcome space
  • Create exterior improvements to make our building more inviting, attractive and handicap accessible
  • Update heating, cooling and audio/visual systems
  • Provide more flexible seating by utilizing comfortable worship chairs

5. WHEN WILL THE BUILDING PROJECT START?

After the commitments are made, we will evaluate the commitments and expected gifts, vote on the proposed renovation project and if approved and funded, prepare ourselves for the renovation.  The projected “best case scenario” date to begin construction is July 1, 2011.

6. WHAT KIND OF COMMITMENT WILL I BE ASKED TO MAKE?

There is no set or expected amount. God blesses each of us differently, not everyone can give the same. Each person has the opportunity to give sacrificially above his or her regular giving. God does not expect equal giving but equal sacrifice.

7. HOW DO I MAKE MY COMMITMENT AND IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?

Everyone will receive an “Estimate of Giving” card, on which you indicate your commitment.  The cards will be kept confidential and will be collected on Celebration Sunday, April 3rd.

8. HOW CAN I PREPARE AND PARTICIPATE?

Pray for our campaign, our church, and allow God to speak to your heart. Attend upcoming events and services that will lay a spiritual foundation for what God has in store for us. You will be receiving information and materials regularly as the campaign progresses.
